| 24/7 365 T-shirt Wearing Record |

All over Kenya
for the last 365 days I have worn a T-shirt with a drug abuse message rain or
shine, cold spell or otherwise whether I was going out of the house or not all
leading to this day.
To try and set a record so that with the ensuing publicity attract attention to the disease of alcoholism and the need for awareness to help reduce stigma and ignorance which all conspire often fatally to prevent the alcoholic and his family from seeking help.
So thousands of lives are lived in abject misery with many ultimately lost - needlessly.
Today is the first day of a one month nationwide alcohol awareness drive organised and run by the goinghomedotcom Trust. This is the 1st National Alcohol Awareness Month in what the trust plans to make an annual event.
Should I go for a second year and possibly enter the Guinness Book of World Records? Many are urging me to. So I will probably do it if Kenyans can pledge to sponsor the extra days or weeks that I will manage for this is badly needed money to keep the Trust running.
But as long as being a living billboard remains the cheapest option that the Trust can afford to bring attention to the plight of hapless alcoholics and their families then I really have no choice but to resign myself to another year of T-shirts, rain or shine, cold spell or hailstones 24/7 365.
