Special Outreach Programmes run by the goinghomedotcom Trust: AUDIO-VISUAL

The goinghomedotcom Trust through its video production arm GoingHome Video and its radio productions department GoingHome Radio intend to provide a wide range of locally produced materials in the field of chemical dependency, addictions and their conotaions as regards HIV prevalence.

These productions will be used for general awareness by the Kenyan public on the issues at hand while at the same time broadcast through the various electronic media as well as being available for sale to individuals and institutions

However a key component in this audio-visual outreach component of the goinghomedotcom Trust has been the setting up of an audio-visual outreach resource center with all manner of video and audio productions on chemical dependency, addictions and HIV/AIDS.

The purpose of this center is to have a wide range of these materials available for use by youth groups, schools, and other institutions at absolutely no cost.

This is in view of the fact that these productions are usually prohibitively expensive and to have access to a large and varied amount is simply beyond the means of most of these institutions.

It is line with this that the goinghomedotcom Trust will also periodically take video shows to the rural schools many of which do not even possess the necessary equipment to play these videos or DVDs even if they were availed of the same.

Off special attention is also availing this service especially to the few rehabilitation centers that exist in the country for this will be off not only great use to the clients, but the counsellors.
