There has been no National Survey carried out in Uganda on either alcohol or illict drug consumption.

However what information there is would suggest that alcohol abuse is the most prevalent as well as cannabis especially its herbal form. The high prevalence and use could also be due to its low cost and availability as cannabis grows in all parts of Uganda.
