A few Kanu youthwingers and others who alert chang'aa brewers of an imminent raid by the police or admistration officials have been warned to desist from the habit by Uasin Gishu kanu chairman.
Speaking to the Kenya Times, Mr. Joel Sirma said that those unscrupulous few, were tarnishing the good name of others who have been working diligently ever since President Moi's directive to rid the country of the social evil.
He said it was difficult to wipe out the menace when every time a raid was conducted by the police and youth wingers they found that the brewers had been alerted and evidence of the chang'aa destroyed.
He thanked President Moi for having given the directive to wipe out chang'aa and other illicit brews and drugs.
