David Ogot is a silent hero
East African Standard, Tuesday September 8, 2004 (Letters to the Editor)

I have known a very inspiring man by the name David Ogot. He is a recovered alcoholic who has chosen a road less travelled by using testimony of his life to try and dissaude others from making his kind of mistakes and giving hope to those who are already hooked to alcohol that they can recover from the disease.

What I did not know was that for the last one year, he had purposed to wear a T-shirt on drug awareness everyday whereever and whatever the occasion. In his own small way he has been like a human billboard and this great conviction should earn him recognition-perhaps even in the Guinnes Book of World Records.
