"It will only be through constant advocacy and communication (ADCOM) on issues concerning our culture of blissfully ignorant alcohol consumption in Kenya that this demon called pombe we have to live with, will be effectively caged. Without accurate information on the disease of alcoholism and the inherent dangers in indiscriminate alcohol consumption, it will continue to violently and gleeflly rape our society, impregnating us with the grotesque and twisted spawn of suffering, pain, crime, incest, violence and despair so great as to be almost incomprehnsible.

Our society will continue giving birth to these bestial off-spring without let-up until such time that we stop this wanton rape. To that end we must cage 'the beast'. We ignore it at our own peril for it wades on heedlessly in it's mindless, destructive orgy until there is nobody left to rape - then it will begin to sodomise us."

Junior entertain parents and other guests during the open day Saturday 8th. March Open Day Langata Junior Academy, Ngei Phase II, Langata Constituency of Nairobi. goinghomedotcom organised a talk for parents and other guests on their place as role models for their children. They were told how their use of alcohol and other drugs like tobacco also influenced their children. Many of the parents in the area were steeped in denial and could not bear to hear anything untoward about their children. The recent spate of robberies in the area could be directly attributed to the gangs of youth in the area who had dropped out of school and yet were still sheltered by their parents. These youth who hang around the whole day around the kiosks were also the same ones who mugged ladies in the evenings. "It is your children who are doing these robberies" was the response from the Langata police when recently several members of the area went to report a robbery. The time to wake was either now or on the day you bury your child they were told in no uncertain terms.

Young participants pay keen attention at last years event

The Stage between childhood and young adulthood is usually overlooked yet it has quite a great implication to the kind of man a boy child becomes. Based on this realisation, Juhudi Childrens' Club felt it neccessary to organise a programme that prepares the young boys for the changes and challenges ahead and thus facilitate a smooth transition to adulthood.goinghomedotcom has been associated with this event from 2002 giving alcohol and drug abuse awareness sessions
